Dr. Amit kumar is CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of BioAxis DNA Research Centre (BDRC) Pvt Ltd and Secretary, IEEE Hyderabad Section. Dr Amit Kumar is a member of IEEE, ISCB, APBIONET, IIIR and PRIB. He obtained his PhD in Applied Bioinformatics in 2007. Dr Kumar was nominated as “Pioneers in Genomic education 2010” by Ocimum Biosolutions Hyderabad and Gene Logic USA. He has organized, chaired and given invited talks in several National and International Conferences like PRIB 2007 Singapore, PRIB 2008 Australia, WCCI 2010 Barcelona Spain, DNA 2009 Andhra Pradesh Police academy and DNA 2010- Osmania University and several IEEE events etc. He has published more than 15 Research Papers in peer reviewed national and International Journals of Bioinformatics, Medical Informatics, Neurology and Biotechnology Research. Under his able guidance BioAxis DNA Research Centre successfully reached the nomination of Leaders of tomorrow 2010 awards by ET Now and India Mart. BDRC has been involved in DNA Forensics trainings of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa Police Departments from the year 2009. Dr Kumar’s responsibilities as CEO and CSO are to provide leadership towards maintaining BioAxis DNA Research centre’s excellence in real-world applications of Forensic Science, Biotechnology, and other Bioinformatics and computational intelligence methods. He assists in developing and advancing the global strategic plan for BioAxis DNA Research Centre’s mission and objectives to promote revenue, profitability, and the growth. Dr Kumar looks after and guides the collaborative Research proposals and client specific services of several BDRC branches and departments. His Research interests are Reverse Vaccinology, Forensic Bioinformatics, DNA Forensics, Rational drug discovery etc. Dr Amit kumar has been invited Resource person to several Reputed Academic Institutions in the country and has delivered more than 50 Lectures. Apart from the vast industrial experience presently 6 PhD students are working under his guidance in his laboratory at Hyderabad, he has adjudicated one PhD Thesis".

Dr. Shakuntala Bulusu

Dr. Shakuntala Bulusu served as Research Scientist and Head of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology Division at BioAxis DNA research Centre for about 2 years and is presently associated with BDRC as Chief Consultant and Advisor for the Company. She has vast experience as an academician and active researcher. Dr. Shakuntala Bulusu earned her Ph.D. from Osmania University and later worked on several biochemical aspects of Cyanobacteria in her post-doctoral research. She published several research papers in noted scientific journals and presented many papers in National and International conferences. She previously taught major branches of Molecular Biology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics to post-graduate students as Asst. Professor in one of the PG Colleges affiliated to Osmania University. Here at BDRC, she was responsible for establishing and bringing the Molecular biology laboratory to the present level of recognition and excellence. Trained at noted biotechnological institutions and workshops in latest state of art molecular techniques and clinical diagnostics, she guides and supervises student dissertations, M.Phil projects and Ph.D. research programs. She has contributed review articles and study materials for easy reference to students and trainees at BDRC. The major areas of her research interests at present include various cytogenetic aspects of Multiple Myeloma, molecular identification of microbial populations and metagenomics, human identification and DNA finger printing, identification of genes and gene annotation, GM foods etc.

Satyajeet Parija

Mr Satyajjet Parija is Research Coordinator at BDRC involved with various Pathology and Neurodegenerative Disorders Research. Presently he is pursuing PhD in Biotechnology from Rayalaseema University, Kurnool. After completion of 4.5 years for his MBBS Gynecology, SCB Medical College Cuttack Orissa he completed the internship in KBK area. Mr Parija is Post graduate in Bioinformatics and involved with R&D unit with Dept of Bioinformatics, DNA Research Centre. His Research interests are Computational Bioinformatics, HMM, Neural networks Research. He has several publications to his credit and involved in several Research Projects related with Medical Bioinformatics, p53 and BRCA Gene expression, Bloom syndrome etc.

Amita is a PhD Scholar of Rayalaseema University Kurnool and her research is focused on molecular interactions, primarily those between regulatory proteins and their DNA/RNA targets,protein-protein interactions, protein-peptide interaction, and interaction between protein structure building blocks. Her research focuses on protein-nucleic acid interactions. These include transcription anti terminators,protein interacting with DNA or RNA, as well as restrictionenzyme Msp/DNA complexes. Her Research interests are Molecular diagnostics, Natural drug inhibitor research, Bioinformatics etc. She has several publications to peer reviewed National and International Journals, details of which are given in the Publication section of the website.

N.M. PRAVEENA is Post Graduate in Microbiology from Acharya Nagarjuna University. By profession she is a Scientist and presently holds the position of Research Associate in the Dept. of Molecular Biology & Biotechnology at BioAxis DNA Research Centre Hyderabad. N M Praveena has been in Research field for more than 4 years and she has acquired strong skills of Microbiology, Enzymology, and Recombinant DNA and Molecular biology. This challenging Position of Research Associate at BDRC enables her to be involved in designing, strategic planning and implementation of innovative in-house and outsourced Research projects in diverse domains of Applicative Biotechnology and Microbiology in addition to handling the client specific services related to microbial identification, DNA sequencing, gene detection, molecular diagnostics, and agricultural biotechnology. Miss Praveena is well versed with the working knowledge on all major sequence, structure repositories and Bioinformatics tools. Before joining BDRC she has been working with Nitza Biologicals and Vikram Diagnostic Centre Hyderabad in Research and service divisions to serve a range of Research and development works. She has several publications in peer reviewed journals on Forensic science, RAPD techniques etc.

He is well versed with the management skills required for an organization. His position as Manager-operations involves him communicating with potential clients and helping the finacial growth of the company. He has developed interest in DNA Technology and DNA Testing and under his able guidance BDRC has been able to spread the DNA Testing services throughout the country in a very short span of two years.
